SHIELD CONNECTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18600110 titled 'SHIELD CONNECTOR

The shield connector A described in the abstract includes an inner conductor and a resiliently displaceable locking spring projecting from an outer peripheral surface of a body portion.

  • The inner conductor is shaped in a way that allows it to be retained and accommodated by a dielectric inserted from behind.
  • The dielectric features an accommodation chamber for the body portion, a locking portion for retaining the inner conductor by being locked to the locking spring, and an escaping groove formed by recessing a region facing the locking spring in a circumferential direction out of an inner peripheral surface of the accommodation chamber.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in various electrical connector applications where secure connections are required. - It can be utilized in telecommunications equipment, computer hardware, and other electronic devices.

Problems Solved: - Provides a secure and reliable connection between inner conductors and dielectrics. - Ensures proper alignment and retention of components in shield connectors.

Benefits: - Improved stability and durability of shield connectors. - Facilitates easier assembly and maintenance of electronic devices.

Commercial Applications: - This technology can be valuable in the manufacturing of high-quality electronic equipment. - It can enhance the performance and longevity of various electronic devices in the market.

Questions about Shield Connector A: 1. How does the design of the inner conductor contribute to the functionality of the shield connector? 2. What are the key advantages of using a resiliently displaceable locking spring in this type of connector system?

Frequently Updated Research: - Stay updated on advancements in shield connector technology to ensure the most efficient and effective solutions are being implemented in electronic devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

A shield connector A includes an inner conductor shaped such that a resiliently displaceable locking spring projects from an outer peripheral surface of a body portion having an axial direction oriented in a front-rear direction, and a dielectric for retaining and accommodating the inner conductor inserted from behind. The dielectric includes an accommodation chamber for accommodating the body portion a locking portion for retaining the inner conductor by being locked to the locking spring and an escaping groove formed by recessing only a region facing the locking spring in a circumferential direction, out of an inner peripheral surface of the accommodation chamber
