CONFIGURATION OF DATA UNIT FOR DUPLICATE TRANSMISSION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18599072 titled 'CONFIGURATION OF DATA UNIT FOR DUPLICATE TRANSMISSION

The present specification introduces a technical feature to enhance the transmission range of a wireless LAN signal, such as a transmission physical protocol data unit (PPDU), by utilizing a duplicate transmission mode.

  • The wireless LAN signal may include a transmission PPDU with a data unit duplicated in frequency.
  • The duplicated data unit is based on the total bandwidth of the transmission PPDU.
  • Various training fields are proposed for the duplicated data unit in the transmission PPDU.

Potential Applications: - Improved wireless communication in large areas or buildings. - Enhanced connectivity for IoT devices. - Increased data transfer speeds for multimedia streaming.

Problems Solved: - Limited transmission range of wireless LAN signals. - Interference and signal degradation in crowded environments. - Inefficient use of available bandwidth for data transmission.

Benefits: - Extended coverage area for wireless networks. - Better signal quality and reliability. - Higher data transfer rates for improved user experience.

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Wireless LAN Signal Transmission Technology This technology can be applied in industries such as telecommunications, smart home devices, and public Wi-Fi networks. It can improve network performance, reduce connectivity issues, and enhance user satisfaction.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present specification proposes a technical feature for increasing a transmission range of a wireless LAN signal. The wireless LAN signal of the present specification, e.g. a transmission physical protocol data unit (PPDU), may be configured on the basis of a duplicate transmission mode. The transmission PPDU of the present specification may comprise a data unit duplicated in frequency. The data unit duplicated in frequency may be configured on the basis of a total bandwidth of the transmission PPDU. The transmission PPDU of the present specification proposes various training fields for the duplicated data unit.
