METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING SIGNALS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18598447 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING SIGNALS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The operation method of a first communication node in a communication system involves transmitting a first sensing signal to a second communication node through a set of reference frequencies within a sensing frequency band, receiving feedback from the second node, identifying information on a selected frequency band, and triggering a second sensing procedure based on the identified frequency band.

  • Utilizes multiple reference frequencies within a sensing frequency band for a sensing procedure.
  • Receives feedback from the second communication node to determine the selected frequency band.
  • Triggers a second sensing procedure in a different frequency band based on the identified information.
  • Improves efficiency and accuracy of communication node operations within the system.
  • Enhances the overall performance of the communication system by optimizing sensing procedures.

Potential Applications: - Wireless communication systems - Internet of Things (IoT) devices - Mobile networks - Satellite communication systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient utilization of frequency bands - Improved communication node operations - Enhanced performance of sensing procedures

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Frequency Band Selection for Communication Systems This technology can be applied in various industries such as telecommunications, IoT, and satellite communications to improve the efficiency and performance of communication systems. By optimizing frequency band selection, companies can enhance their network operations and provide better services to customers.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the use of multiple reference frequencies improve the efficiency of sensing procedures? 2. What are the potential implications of triggering a second sensing procedure based on the identified frequency band?

Original Abstract Submitted

An operation method of a first communication node in a communication system may include the steps of: transmitting to a second communication node a first sensing signal through a plurality of reference frequencies included in a first reference frequency set that is set within a first sensing frequency band for a first sensing procedure; receiving a first feedback signal from the second communication node that has received the first sensing signal; identifying information on a first frequency band selected from among a plurality of split frequency bands included in the first sensing frequency band, on the basis of the first feedback signal; and triggering a second sensing procedure in a second sensing frequency band that is determined on the basis of the identified first frequency band.
