This application provides example communication methods and apparatuses. Embodiments include a network device that determines a frequency band of a first radio on chip from a second frequency band and a third frequency band based on at least one of a first frequency band, uplink load, or an uplink resource. The first frequency band is a frequency band corresponding to a first component carrier of a terminal apparatus, the second frequency band is the same as a frequency band of a second radio on chip, and the uplink resource is used to carry a radio signal of the terminal apparatus. The network device may further receive the radio signal from the terminal apparatus through the first radio on chip and the second radio on chip.
