COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, BASE STATION AND METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18587389 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, BASE STATION AND METHOD

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is designed to transmit path information to a base station, including waypoints and timestamps indicating the time to arrive at each waypoint. Additionally, it can indicate the availability of path information if there are waypoints not previously transmitted.

  • The communication apparatus stores a program in memory and is operated by one or more processors.
  • It obtains path information with details on waypoints and timestamps.
  • It transmits a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to the base station with the path information.
  • It can also transmit a second RRC message indicating the availability of path information if there are additional waypoints not included in the previous transmission.

Potential Applications: - Navigation systems for vehicles or drones - Logistics and supply chain management - Emergency response coordination

Problems Solved: - Efficient communication of complex path information - Real-time tracking and coordination of waypoints - Streamlining data transmission to base stations

Benefits: - Improved accuracy in waypoint arrival times - Enhanced coordination and efficiency in navigation - Reduced communication overhead for transmitting path information

Commercial Applications: Title: "Advanced Communication Apparatus for Efficient Path Information Transmission" This technology could be utilized in industries such as transportation, delivery services, and emergency response teams to enhance route planning and coordination.

Prior Art: Researchers can explore existing patents related to communication systems, navigation devices, and data transmission technologies to understand the evolution of similar innovations.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in communication protocols, GPS technologies, and real-time data processing to enhance the capabilities of the communication apparatus.

Questions about Communication Apparatus for Path Information Transmission: 1. How does the communication apparatus ensure the accuracy of arrival times at each waypoint? 2. What are the potential challenges in integrating this technology into existing navigation systems?

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus includes: a memory storing a program; and one or more processors configured to execute the program to: obtain path information including information for indicating each of a plurality of waypoints and information for indicating each of a plurality of timestamps, the each of the plurality of timestamps indicating a time to arrive at the each of the plurality of waypoints; transmit, to a base station, a first radio resource control, RRC, message including the path information; and transmit, to the base station, a second RRC message including information for indicating an availability of the path information in a case where the communication apparatus has at least one waypoint which is not included in the path information previously transmitted to the base station.
