Questions about Blood Coagulation Testing
How does this technology improve the accuracy of coagulation time analysis?
The technology automates the process and uses normal blood plasma for calibration, leading to more precise results.
What are the potential implications of using light for measuring coagulation time in blood plasma?
Using light allows for non-invasive and real-time monitoring of coagulation, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the analysis.
Original Abstract Submitted
The automatic analysis device is provided with: a specimen dispensing mechanism that dispenses subject blood plasma and/or normal blood plasma to be added to correct the coagulation time of the subject blood plasma, into a plurality of specimen containers ; reaction containers that contain the subject blood plasma and/or the normal blood plasma; a reagent dispensing mechanism that dispenses a reagent into the reaction containers ; and a detecting unit which applies light from a light source to the subject blood plasma and/or the normal blood plasma to which the reagent is added in the reaction containers , and which measures the coagulation time on the basis of the obtained scattered light and/or transmitted light.
