IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS CAPABLE OF EFFICIENTLY COOLING RECORDING MEDIUM WHILE PREVENTING SIZE INCREASE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18584326 titled 'IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS CAPABLE OF EFFICIENTLY COOLING RECORDING MEDIUM WHILE PREVENTING SIZE INCREASE

The abstract describes an image pickup apparatus designed to efficiently cool a recording medium without increasing its size. The apparatus includes a first board that is vertical to the optical axis direction, a second board parallel to the first board, and a housing unit mounted on the second board for the recording medium. A first air-cooling duct is positioned on one side in the optical axis direction relative to the first board, with a fan generating an air current within the duct. The duct is thermally connected to the recording medium, housing unit, and second board.

  • The image pickup apparatus efficiently cools a recording medium.
  • The design prevents an increase in size while maintaining effective cooling.
  • Utilizes a first board vertical to the optical axis direction and a second board parallel to it.
  • Includes a housing unit for the recording medium and a first air-cooling duct with a fan.
  • The duct is thermally connected to the recording medium, housing unit, and second board.

Original Abstract Submitted

An image pickup apparatus which is capable of efficiently cooling a recording medium while preventing size increase. A first board is substantially vertical to an optical axis direction. A second board is disposed parallel to the first board and on one side in the optical axis direction. A housing unit is mounted on the second board and is capable of housing the recording medium. A first air-cooling duct is disposed on the one side in the optical axis direction than the first board and on the other side in the optical axis direction than the second board and the housing unit. A fan generates an air current within the first air-cooling duct. The first air-cooling duct is thermally connected to at least one of the recording medium, the housing unit, and the second board.
