DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18582182 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

The abstract of the patent application describes a display input device that includes a display panel, a knob member made of transparent material protruding from the display surface, and a louver film member between the display surface and the knob member. The louver film member has first and second louvers that intersect to suppress light traveling towards the outer periphery of the knob member.

  • The display input device includes a display panel, a knob member made of transparent material, and a louver film member with intersecting louvers.
  • The louver film member suppresses light towards the outer periphery of the knob member.
  • The knob member protrudes from the display surface of the display panel.
  • The first and second louvers intersect to control the light direction.
  • The innovation aims to enhance visibility and control of the display input device.

Potential Applications: - Touchscreen devices - Control panels - Automotive displays

Problems Solved: - Glare on display panels - Improved visibility in bright environments

Benefits: - Enhanced user experience - Better control of display input - Reduced glare for improved visibility
