BATTERY PACK - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18580013 titled 'BATTERY PACK

The battery pack described in the patent application includes multiple battery assemblies and a pack housing that can accommodate these assemblies. The pack housing consists of a unit frame assembly that can be connected in a line in a lateral direction, allowing the bottom area of the battery pack to expand freely. Furthermore, the battery assemblies are directly housed in the pack housing without the need for a battery module, simplifying the structure and reducing the number of parts and space occupied by them. This design aims to reduce manufacturing costs and increase the energy density of the battery pack.

Original Abstract Submitted

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery assemblies and a pack housing capable of accommodating the plurality of battery assemblies. The pack housing includes an assembly of unit frame that may be coupled in a line in a lateral direction so that a bottom area of the battery pack may be freely expanded. In addition, in the battery pack, the battery assemblies are directly accommodated in the pack housing without a battery module, thereby simplifying a structure and reducing the number of parts and a space occupied by the parts. Thus, provided is a battery pack in which manufacturing costs can be reduced and the energy density of the battery pack can be increased.
