CONNECTION RESTRICTION FOR MOVING STATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18569918 titled 'CONNECTION RESTRICTION FOR MOVING STATION

The communication control apparatus described in the patent application is designed for a moving station that can communicate with a communication device. The apparatus includes a processor that identifies the communication cell where the moving station passes and restricts connections with communication devices that do not move with the station inside that cell.

  • The moving station consists of a communication-device functional unit that acts as a communication device to the base station, and a base-station functional unit that acts as a base station to a communication device the station can communicate with.
  • The moving station is an IAB (Integrated Access and Backhaul) node, with the communication-device functional unit as a MT (Mobile Termination) and the base-station functional unit as a DU (Distributed Unit).

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in mobile networks to improve communication efficiency and security. - It can be applied in smart transportation systems to enhance connectivity between moving vehicles and infrastructure.

Problems Solved: - Ensures that the moving station only connects to authorized communication devices within a specific communication cell. - Prevents unauthorized access to the moving station's communication network.

Benefits: - Enhanced security for communication networks in dynamic environments. - Improved reliability and efficiency of communication between moving stations and devices.

Commercial Applications: "Enhanced Communication Control Apparatus for Moving Stations in Mobile Networks"

This technology can be utilized in telecommunications companies to optimize communication networks for moving stations, as well as in smart city initiatives to enhance connectivity in urban environments.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the communication control apparatus enhance security in mobile networks? 2. What are the key advantages of using an IAB node in communication systems?

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication control apparatus concerning a moving station capable of communicating with a communication device has at least one processor that performs: by a communication cell identification unit, identifying a communication cell where the moving station passes; and by a connection restriction unit, restricting a connection of the moving station with a communication device that does not move with the moving station inside the communication cell. The moving station comprises a communication-device functional unit that functions as a communication device to the base station, and a base-station functional unit that functions as a base station to a communication device with which the moving station can communicate. The moving station is an IAB (Integrated Access and Backhaul) node, the communication-device functional unit is a MT (Mobile Termination), and the base-station functional unit is a DU (Distributed Unit).
