PUNCHING DIE FOR PUNCHING MACHINE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18569091 titled 'PUNCHING DIE FOR PUNCHING MACHINE

The invention is a die for printing through a print carrier onto an object in a hot stamping machine. The die consists of a base layer with a hardness less than 50 shore A and a thickness greater than 20 mm, and a printing layer with a hardness greater than 50 shore A and a thickness less than 5 mm.

  • Base layer made of first material with hardness less than 50 shore A and thickness greater than 20 mm
  • Printing layer made of second material with hardness greater than 50 shore A and thickness less than 5 mm
  • Printing layer is in contact with the print carrier
  • Designed for use in hot stamping machines
  • Provides precise and high-quality printing on objects

Potential Applications: - Hot stamping machines - Printing on various objects such as packaging, labels, and promotional materials

Problems Solved: - Achieving precise and high-quality printing in hot stamping machines - Ensuring durability and longevity of the die

Benefits: - Improved printing accuracy - Enhanced durability of the die - Consistent and high-quality printing results

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Die for Hot Stamping Machines This technology can be used in industries such as packaging, labeling, and promotional materials to enhance the quality and precision of printing processes.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the thickness and hardness of each layer in the die impact the printing process? - The thickness and hardness of each layer affect the durability and precision of the printing process.

2. What are the key advantages of using a two-layered die in hot stamping machines? - The two-layered die provides improved printing quality and longevity compared to traditional single-layered dies.

Original Abstract Submitted

The invention relates to a die () for printing through a print carrier onto an object in a hot stamping machine, characterized in that the die comprises a first layer () of a first material, hereinafter referred to as the base layer, the hardness of which is less than 50 shore A measured according to ISO 868 or DIN 53505, and the thickness of which is greater than 20 mm, and a second layer () of a second material, hereinafter referred to as the printing layer, the hardness of which is greater than 50 shore A measured according to ISO 868 or DIN 53505, and the thickness of which is less than 5 mm, the second layer being intended to be in contact with the print carrier.
