COMMUNICATION CABLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18568972 titled 'COMMUNICATION CABLE
The communication cable described in the patent application consists of a core wire with a conductor and an insulating layer, as well as a film-like shield that surrounds the core wire longitudinally.
- The film-like shield includes a metal base layer made up of a metal layer, along with linear or band-shaped stripe members that are in close contact with the metal base layer.
- Multiple stripe members extend in the axial direction of the core wire and are spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the core wire.
Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in various communication systems and networks that require reliable and efficient transmission of signals. - It may find applications in telecommunications, data centers, and other industries where high-quality communication cables are essential.
Problems Solved: - The innovation addresses the need for improved shielding and protection of the core wire in communication cables. - It enhances the overall performance and durability of communication systems by reducing interference and signal loss.
Benefits: - Enhanced signal transmission quality and reliability. - Improved durability and longevity of communication cables. - Better protection against external interference and environmental factors.
Commercial Applications: - The technology could be utilized by telecommunications companies, data centers, and other industries that rely on high-speed and secure communication networks. - It may have implications for the development of advanced communication systems and technologies in the market.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the film-like shield with metal base layer improve the performance of communication cables? 2. What are the specific advantages of using linear or band-shaped stripe members in the shield design?
Original Abstract Submitted
A communication cable includes: a core wire having a conductor and an insulating layer covering an outer circumference of the conductor ; and a film-like shield that longitudinally surrounds an outer circumference of the core wire , in which the film-like shield includes a metal base layer constituted by a metal layer, and a linear or band-shaped stripe member that is in intimate contact with the metal base layer , and a plurality of the stripe members extend in an axial direction A of the core wire and are spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction A of the core wire.
