METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING CANDIDATE RESOURCE FOR RESOURCE RE-EVALUATION IN NR V2X - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18558694 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING CANDIDATE RESOURCE FOR RESOURCE RE-EVALUATION IN NR V2X

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for operating a first device in a wireless communication system, involving triggering resource re-evaluation or pre-emption and determining candidate slots for sensing related to these actions.

  • The method involves triggering resource re-evaluation or pre-emption in a wireless communication system.
  • It includes determining at least one second candidate slot for performing sensing related to the resource re-evaluation or pre-emption.
  • The number of candidate slots for sensing is based on specific threshold values.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various wireless communication systems where resource re-evaluation or pre-emption is necessary for efficient operation.

Problems Solved

This method helps in optimizing resource allocation and management in wireless communication systems by triggering re-evaluation or pre-emption based on specific criteria.

Benefits

The method can improve the overall performance and efficiency of wireless communication systems by ensuring timely resource re-evaluation and pre-emption.

Potential Commercial Applications

One potential commercial application of this technology could be in the development of advanced wireless communication systems for industries such as telecommunications, IoT, and smart devices.

Possible Prior Art

Prior art in this field may include existing methods for resource allocation and management in wireless communication systems, but specific details would need to be researched further.

Unanswered Questions

How does this method compare to existing resource re-evaluation techniques in wireless communication systems?

This article does not provide a direct comparison to existing techniques for resource re-evaluation in wireless communication systems. Further research would be needed to determine the specific advantages of this method over others.

What impact could this method have on the overall efficiency of wireless communication systems?

While the benefits of the method are mentioned, the specific impact on the efficiency of wireless communication systems is not quantified in the abstract. Further studies or trials may be needed to assess this impact accurately.

Original Abstract Submitted

Proposed is a method for operating a first device () in a wireless communication system. The method may comprise the steps of: triggering resource re-evaluation or pre-emption; and determining at least one second candidate slot for performing sensing related to the resource re-evaluation or the pre-emption, wherein the number of at least one first candidate slot related to an initial resource selection is greater than or equal to a first threshold, the number of the at least one second candidate slot is greater than or equal to a second threshold value, and the first threshold value is different from the second threshold value.
