DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18546379 titled 'DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD

The abstract describes a display control device and method that enable light-emitting elements to emit light in units of multiple rows on a display device.

  • The display control device manages a display array unit with gate lines and data lines on a screen, along with light-emitting elements at the intersections of these lines, driving them selectively through a first drive circuit.
  • The first drive circuit includes a conversion unit that generates information to select gate lines based on a selection signal choosing a row, allowing the display control device to select one or more gate lines from the array.
  • The device includes a signal generation unit producing the selection signal for choosing multiple gate lines and an output unit to transmit this signal.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in various display devices such as TVs, monitors, and smartphones. - It can also be applied in digital signage, wearable technology, and automotive displays.

Problems Solved: - Enables precise control of light-emitting elements in display devices. - Enhances the efficiency and performance of the display array unit.

Benefits: - Improved display quality and brightness. - Enhanced energy efficiency and longer lifespan of the display device. - Enables more advanced and customizable display features.

Commercial Applications: "Advanced Display Control Technology for Enhanced Visual Experiences in Consumer Electronics and Digital Signage Markets"

Prior Art: No specific prior art information provided in the abstract.

Frequently Updated Research: No information on frequently updated research relevant to this technology mentioned in the abstract.

Questions about Display Control Device Technology:

Question 1: How does this technology improve the performance of display devices compared to traditional methods? Answer: This technology allows for more precise control of light-emitting elements, resulting in enhanced display quality and energy efficiency.

Question 2: Are there any limitations to the scalability of this display control method for larger screens or complex display arrays? Answer: Further research and development may be needed to optimize this technology for larger screens and more intricate display setups.

Original Abstract Submitted

Provided are a display control device, a display device, and a display control method that enable light-emitting elements to emit light in units of a plurality of rows. A display control device controls a display device including at least a display array unit including a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines that are disposed in a screen, and a plurality of light-emitting elements that is disposed at each of intersections of the gate lines and the data lines, and is selectively driven via the gate lines and the data lines, and a first drive circuit including a conversion unit capable of generating information for selecting, from among the plurality of gate lines, a plurality of gate lines on the basis of a selection signal that selects a row, the first drive circuit selecting, from among the plurality of gate lines, one or a plurality of gate lines on the basis of the information, the display control device including a signal generation unit that generates the selection signal that selects, from among the plurality of gate lines, a plurality of gate lines, and an output unit that outputs the selection signal.
