ABNORMALITY DETERMINATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18545943 titled 'ABNORMALITY DETERMINATION SYSTEM

The abstract describes an abnormality determination system consisting of a first apparatus and a server apparatus. The first apparatus transmits information indicating an abnormality and its evaluation value to the server apparatus if a valid certificate of a second apparatus shows abnormality. The server apparatus then determines whether to revoke the certificate of the second apparatus based on the received information.

  • The system involves a first apparatus and a server apparatus for abnormality determination.
  • The first apparatus transmits abnormality information and evaluation value to the server if a valid certificate indicates abnormality.
  • The server apparatus decides on revoking the certificate of the second apparatus based on the transmitted information.

Potential Applications: - Security systems - Network monitoring - Device management

Problems Solved: - Efficient abnormality detection - Streamlined certificate revocation process

Benefits: - Enhanced security measures - Timely response to abnormalities - Improved system reliability

Commercial Applications: Title: "Advanced Abnormality Determination System for Enhanced Security" This technology can be utilized in industries requiring stringent security protocols such as banking, healthcare, and government sectors. It can also be integrated into IoT devices for enhanced cybersecurity measures.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the system ensure the accuracy of abnormality detection? 2. What measures are in place to prevent false alarms in the system?

Original Abstract Submitted

An abnormality determination system includes a first apparatus and a server apparatus. The first apparatus includes a transmission unit configured to, in a case where a certificate of a second apparatus is valid and information which is based on the certificate indicates an abnormality, transmit the information indicating the abnormality and an evaluation value of the information indicating the abnormality to the server apparatus. The server apparatus includes a second determination unit configured to determine whether the certificate of the second apparatus is to be revoked based on the information indicating the abnormality and the evaluation value of the information indicating the abnormality in a case where the information indicating the abnormality and the evaluation value of the information indicating the abnormality is received from the first apparatus.
