CONTROL APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18544775 titled 'CONTROL APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

The patent application describes a control apparatus that detects and authenticates a cooling apparatus before controlling its operation based on user input policies.

  • Detecting unit to identify connection of the cooling apparatus
  • Authenticating unit to verify the identity of the cooling apparatus
  • Controlling unit to manage the operation of the cooling apparatus
  • Acceptance of user input policies in case of unauthenticated cooling apparatus
  • Operation control based on the input policy

Potential Applications: - Industrial cooling systems - Data center cooling solutions - HVAC systems in commercial buildings

Problems Solved: - Unauthorized use of cooling apparatus - Ensuring only authenticated devices are controlled

Benefits: - Enhanced security for cooling systems - Customizable control based on user policies - Prevents unauthorized access to cooling equipment

Commercial Applications: Title: Secure Cooling System Control for Industrial Applications This technology can be used in various industries such as manufacturing, data centers, and commercial buildings to ensure secure and authenticated control of cooling systems, enhancing overall operational efficiency and security.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the authenticating unit verify the identity of the cooling apparatus? - The authenticating unit likely uses unique identifiers or authentication protocols to verify the identity of the cooling apparatus. 2. What happens if the cooling apparatus is not authenticated by the authenticating unit? - The controlling unit accepts user input policies to determine the operation of the cooling apparatus in such cases.

Original Abstract Submitted

A control apparatus comprises: a detecting unit configured to detect connection of a cooling apparatus; an authenticating unit configured to authenticate the cooling apparatus whose connection has been detected by the detecting unit; and a controlling unit configured to control operation of the cooling apparatus. In a case where the cooling apparatus is not authenticated by the authenticating unit, the controlling unit accepts input of a policy regarding control of the operation of the cooling apparatus and controls the operation of the cooling apparatus based on the input policy.
