MULTIFUNCTIONAL SOUNDER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18542827 titled 'MULTIFUNCTIONAL SOUNDER

The present disclosure introduces a multifunctional sounder with a unique design for improved acoustic performance.

  • The sounder includes a casing with an accommodating cavity, a sounding unit, and at least one driving coil group within the cavity.
  • The sounding unit consists of a sounding diaphragm system and a magnetic circuit system that drives the diaphragm along a specific direction.
  • The magnetic circuit system comprises a main magnet and multiple secondary magnet groups, each with several secondary magnets.
  • Each driving coil group has coils corresponding to the secondary magnet groups, with their projection misaligned with the main magnet.
  • Adjusting the sounder's height only requires modifying the thickness of the secondary magnets, minimizing the impact on acoustic performance.

Potential Applications: - Audio systems - Alarm systems - Public address systems

Problems Solved: - Simplified adjustment of sounder height - Enhanced acoustic performance

Benefits: - Improved sound quality - Easy height adjustment - Versatile applications

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Sounder Technology for Enhanced Audio Systems This technology can be utilized in various commercial applications such as audio equipment manufacturing, alarm system production, and public address system installations. The improved acoustic performance and easy height adjustment feature make it a valuable addition to the sound technology market.

Questions about Sounder Technology: 1. How does the misalignment of the driving coil groups with the main magnet impact the sounder's performance?

  - The misalignment allows for more precise control over the sounder's movement, resulting in improved acoustic performance.

2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this multifunctional sounder in different audio systems?

  - Some challenges may include compatibility issues with existing systems and the need for proper calibration to optimize performance.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure provides a multifunctional sounder, including a casing having an accommodating cavity, and a sounding unit and at least one driving coil group that are arranged in the accommodating cavity. The sounding unit includes a sounding diaphragm system and a magnetic circuit system configured to drive the sounding diaphragm system along a first direction. The magnetic circuit system includes a main magnet and at least one secondary magnet group. Each secondary magnet group includes a plurality of secondary magnets. Each driving coil group includes at least one driving coil each corresponding to a respective secondary magnet group, and an orthographic projection of each driving coil group along the first direction misalign with the main magnet. Compared with related technologies, when adjusting the height of the sounder, only thicknesses of the secondary magnets need to be adjusted, thereby causing relatively small impact on the acoustic performance of the sounder.
