Simplified Explanation

The patent application discusses a display device with subpixels, a polarization layer, and organic light emitting elements.

  • The display device includes a substrate with subpixels, each having emission and non-emission areas.
  • A polarization layer is on the substrate, with different transmittances in different areas.
  • Organic light emitting elements are in the emission areas, with varying transmittances in the polarization layer.

Key Features and Innovation

  • Subpixels with emission and non-emission areas for improved display quality.
  • Polarization layer with varying transmittances to enhance image clarity.
  • Organic light emitting elements for efficient light emission in the display device.

Potential Applications

This technology can be used in various display devices such as TVs, monitors, and smartphones.

Problems Solved

This technology addresses issues related to display quality, image clarity, and energy efficiency in display devices.

Benefits

  • Improved display quality and image clarity.
  • Energy-efficient light emission in display devices.
  • Enhanced viewing experience for users.

Commercial Applications

Title: Enhanced Display Technology for Consumer Electronics This technology can be applied in consumer electronics like TVs, smartphones, and monitors, improving their display quality and energy efficiency, thus attracting more customers and increasing market competitiveness.

Questions about Display Technology

1. How does the varying transmittance in the polarization layer affect image quality?

The varying transmittance in the polarization layer helps enhance image clarity and contrast in the display device.

2. What are the advantages of using organic light emitting elements in display devices?

Organic light emitting elements offer energy-efficient light emission, better color reproduction, and thinner displays compared to traditional technologies.

Original Abstract Submitted

Discussed is a display device including a substrate including a plurality of subpixels, each subpixel including an emission area and a non-emission area; a polarization layer disposed on the substrate, and including a first area and a second area having single transmittances; and an organic light emitting element disposed in the emission area, wherein a single transmittance of the second area is higher than a single transmittance of the first area from among the single transmittances.
