LAMP FOR VEHICLE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18527482 titled 'LAMP FOR VEHICLE
The patent application describes a lamp for a vehicle with multiple lamp modules and optical connection units between them, each containing a connection light source part.
- The lamp modules include a first optical unit that forms a movable first light distribution part, a second optical unit that forms a rotatable second light distribution part, and a third optical unit that forms a third light distribution part.
- The third light source part outputs light to the outside when the first optical unit is moved and the second optical unit is rotated.
Potential Applications: - Automotive lighting systems - Vehicle safety and visibility enhancement
Problems Solved: - Improved light distribution in vehicle lamps - Enhanced flexibility and adjustability in lighting design
Benefits: - Better illumination on the road - Increased safety for drivers and pedestrians - Customizable lighting options for different driving conditions
Commercial Applications: - Automotive manufacturers - Aftermarket automotive lighting companies - Lighting technology suppliers
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the movable and rotatable optical units improve lighting performance in vehicles? 2. What are the potential cost implications of implementing this innovative lighting system in vehicles?
Original Abstract Submitted
Disclosed is a lamp for a vehicle including a plurality of lamp modules, and optical connection units provided between adjacent lamp modules, and each including a connection light source part, the lamp modules include a first optical unit that forms a first light distribution part with light irradiated from a first light source part and that is movable, a second optical unit that forms a second light distribution part with light irradiated from a second light source part, provided around the first optical unit, and that is rotatable, and a third optical unit that forms a third light distribution part with light irradiated from a third light source part, the light irradiated from the third light source part outputs to an outside in a state, in which the first optical unit is moved and the second optical unit is rotated.
