A flexible display device includes in on example a substrate having an optical area and a main area in a display area, and a bending area and a non-bending area in a non-display area. The flexible display device further includes a first insulating film disposed on the substrate, a wiring line disposed on the insulating film of the non-bending area, a second insulating film disposed on the wiring line, a connection line disposed on the second insulating film of the non-bending area and having a first contact area, a first planarization layer disposed on the connection line, a link line disposed on the first planarization layer to extend to the bending area and having a second contact area, a second planarization layer disposed on the link line and including an open area, and a third insulating film disposed on the second planarization layer and filled in the open area.
