Display Apparatus - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18524404 titled 'Display Apparatus

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a display apparatus with a substrate that has a display area containing an emission area and a transmissive area. The apparatus includes a planarization layer, light emitting elements, a bank, and a deposition blocking layer.

  • The display apparatus has a substrate with a display area divided into an emission area and a transmissive area.
  • A planarization layer is placed on the substrate within the display area.
  • Multiple light emitting elements, consisting of an anode, light emitting layer, and cathode, are positioned on the planarization layer.
  • A bank covers part of the anode in the emission area.
  • A deposition blocking layer on the planarization layer in the transmissive area, spaced apart from the bank.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Substrate with display area divided into emission and transmissive areas.
  • Planarization layer for smooth surface.
  • Light emitting elements with anode, light emitting layer, and cathode.
  • Bank covering part of the anode in the emission area.
  • Deposition blocking layer in the transmissive area.
