WINDOW DISPLAY METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18523517 titled 'WINDOW DISPLAY METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure relates to a method for displaying windows on an electronic device, where the device can display two windows in different directions and rotate one window when the screen direction changes.

  • Electronic device displays two windows in different directions
  • Screen direction can be portrait, landscape, reverse portrait, or reverse landscape
  • When screen direction changes, one window is rotated while the other remains unchanged

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in retail settings for interactive window displays, in digital signage for dynamic content presentation, and in mobile devices for improved user experience.

Problems Solved

This innovation solves the issue of maintaining consistent display orientation when the screen direction changes on electronic devices, providing a seamless transition for users.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include enhanced user experience, improved visibility of content, and increased flexibility in displaying information on electronic devices.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology include retail displays, digital signage solutions, mobile devices, and interactive kiosks.

Possible Prior Art

The article does not specify if there are limitations to the number of windows that can be displayed and rotated on an electronic device.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure relates to window display methods and electronic devices. In one example window display method, an electronic device displays a first window and a second window, where a screen direction of the electronic device is a first direction, the screen direction is one of a portrait direction, a landscape direction, a reverse portrait direction, and a reverse landscape direction, and a display direction of the first window is the first direction. When detecting that the screen direction of the electronic device changes from the first direction to a second direction, the electronic device keeps a display direction of the second window unchanged, and rotates the first window, so that the display direction of the first window is the second direction.
