Questions about Random Access Channel Configuration
How does the technology determine the need for a gap between RACH occasions?
The wireless communication device determines the need for a gap based on the subcarrier spacing of the physical RACH slot.
What is the significance of calculating the length of the gap between RACH occasions?
Calculating the length of the gap ensures optimal configuration of the random access channel for improved performance.
Original Abstract Submitted
Presented are systems and methods for calculating and configuring a random access channel (RACH). A wireless communication device may determine whether a gap is to be present between a pair of adjacent random access channel (RACH) occasions (ROs), for a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of a physical RACH (PRACH) slot that is higher than 120 kiloHertz (KHz) or 60 KHz. The wireless communication device may determine a length of the gap, if the gap is to be present.
