RADIATION IMAGING APPARATUS, RADIATION IMAGING SYSTEM, AND CONTROL APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18516765 titled 'RADIATION IMAGING APPARATUS, RADIATION IMAGING SYSTEM, AND CONTROL APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a radiation imaging system that includes a radiation imaging apparatus capable of transitioning between a start-up state and a standby state, and a control apparatus that triggers the transition and receives internal information from the imaging apparatus.

  • The radiation imaging system includes a radiation imaging apparatus that can be in a start-up state or a standby state.
  • A control apparatus triggers the transition of the imaging apparatus between the start-up and standby states.
  • The imaging apparatus executes acquisition processing in the start-up state and transmits internal information to the control apparatus.
  • The control apparatus provides external notification if the internal information indicates normal operation of the imaging apparatus.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in medical imaging systems, security screening devices, industrial inspection equipment, and scientific research instruments.

Problems Solved

1. Efficient management of radiation imaging apparatus by allowing it to transition between start-up and standby states. 2. Quick detection of any abnormalities in the operation of the imaging apparatus through external notifications.

Benefits

1. Improved operational efficiency of radiation imaging systems. 2. Enhanced monitoring and control capabilities for imaging apparatus. 3. Early detection of potential issues leading to timely maintenance and repairs.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Enhancing Operational Efficiency in Radiation Imaging Systems"

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of similar control mechanisms in other imaging systems such as X-ray machines or MRI scanners.

Unanswered Questions

How does the control apparatus communicate with the radiation imaging apparatus?

The abstract does not specify the communication method between the control apparatus and the imaging apparatus.

What specific types of internal information are transmitted from the imaging apparatus to the control apparatus?

The abstract mentions internal information corresponding to a normal state, but it does not detail other types of internal information that may be transmitted.

Original Abstract Submitted

A radiation imaging system includes a radiation imaging apparatus that can be in a start-up state where acquisition processing to acquire internal information is executed and in a standby state where the acquisition processing is not executed, and a control apparatus, wherein the control apparatus transmits a start-up signal to the radiation imaging apparatus, wherein the radiation imaging apparatus transitions from the standby state to the start-up state in response to receipt of the start-up signal, execute the acquisition processing, and transmit the internal information to the control apparatus, and wherein, in a case where the internal information received from the radiation imaging apparatus is internal information corresponding to a normal state of the radiation imaging apparatus, the control apparatus provides notification external to the radiation imaging system of information indicating that operation of the radiation imaging apparatus is normal.
