INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND A NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18508067 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND A NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an information processing apparatus that acquires screen information to identify the size of a communication terminal screen, determines a minimum font size for displaying characters on a web page, sets a font size larger than or equal to the minimum font size, generates display information based on the set font size, and transmits the display information to the communication terminal.

  • Acquiring screen information to determine the size of a communication terminal screen
  • Setting a font size for displaying characters on a web page based on the minimum font size
  • Generating display information for the web page based on the set font size
  • Transmitting the display information to the communication terminal

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in web browsers and mobile applications to ensure optimal display of content on different screen sizes.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of inconsistent font sizes and readability issues on web pages across various communication terminal screens.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved user experience, better readability, and consistent display of content on different devices.

Potential Commercial Applications

One potential commercial application of this technology is in the development of responsive web design tools that automatically adjust font sizes for optimal display on different devices.

Possible Prior Art

Prior art may include existing methods for responsive web design and font size optimization for different screen sizes.

Unanswered Questions

How does the apparatus determine the minimum font size for displaying characters on a web page?

The abstract does not provide specific details on the algorithm or method used to calculate the minimum font size.

What communication protocols are used to transmit the display information to the communication terminal?

The abstract does not mention the specific communication protocols or technologies employed for transmitting the display information.

Original Abstract Submitted

An information processing apparatus comprises: a memory storing a program; and a processor in communication with the memory, the processor when executing the program causes the information processing apparatus to: acquire screen information for identifying a size of a screen of a communication terminal; determine, based on the screen information, a minimum font size for displaying characters included in a predetermined Web page on the screen of the communication terminal in a predetermined font size; set a font size of a character included in the predetermined Web page and smaller than the minimum font size to be larger than or equal to the minimum font size; generate display information for displaying the predetermined Web page on a screen of the communication terminal based on the set font size; and transmit the generated display information to the communication terminal.
