INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS, METHODS FOR CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18505847 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS, METHODS FOR CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The information processing apparatus receives an image of a partial region of a Web page and displays it on a display unit. When a user operation for changing the displayed image is accepted, the apparatus determines if there will be a change in the image and transmits information regarding the user operation to the image generating apparatus to obtain an updated image.

  • Information processing apparatus receives and displays partial Web page images.
  • Determines if user operation will result in image change.
  • Transmits user operation information to image generating apparatus for updated image.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in web browsers, image editing software, and content management systems to enhance user experience and efficiency in viewing and interacting with web content.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of efficiently updating and displaying web page images in response to user interactions, reducing unnecessary data transmission and processing.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved user experience, faster image updates, reduced data transmission, and enhanced efficiency in displaying web content.

Potential Commercial Applications

  • Web browsers
  • Image editing software
  • Content management systems

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of image caching techniques in web browsers to optimize image loading and display based on user interactions.

What is the impact of this technology on user engagement with web content?

This technology enhances user engagement by providing faster and more responsive image updates based on user interactions, leading to a more interactive and dynamic browsing experience.

How does this technology contribute to data efficiency in image rendering?

By determining if there will be a change in the image before transmitting user operation information to the image generating apparatus, this technology reduces unnecessary data transmission and processing, leading to more efficient image rendering.

Original Abstract Submitted

An information processing apparatus receives an image of a partial region of a Web page, from an external image generating apparatus that renders the Web page, and displays the image on a display unit. The information processing apparatus, when a user operation for changing the image displayed on the display unit is accepted, determine whether or not there will be a change in the image as a result of applying the user operation. The information processing apparatus transmits information regarding the user operation to the image generating apparatus in order to obtain an image to which the user operation has been applied. Here, the information processing apparatus, if it is determined that there will be no change in the image, restricts transmission of the information regarding the user operation to the image generating apparatus.
