RESIN COMPOSITION, ADHESIVE MEMBER, AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE ADHESIVE MEMBER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18500274 titled 'RESIN COMPOSITION, ADHESIVE MEMBER, AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE ADHESIVE MEMBER

The patent application describes a photocurable resin composition for use in a display device, containing specific components such as (meth)acrylate oligomers, photoinitiators, (meth)acrylate monomers, and urethane (meth)acrylate oligomers.

  • The composition includes (meth)acrylate oligomers with (meth)acrylic and aliphatic ring groups, enhancing its properties.
  • The presence of photoinitiators ensures rapid curing of the resin under light exposure.
  • Incorporating (meth)acrylate monomers allows for adjusting the viscosity and other characteristics of the resin.
  • The addition of urethane (meth)acrylate oligomers improves the flexibility and durability of the final product.
  • The resulting adhesive member derived from this resin composition is suitable for use in display devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

Embodiments provide a photocurable resin composition that includes at least one (meth)acrylate oligomer including a (meth)acrylic group at a terminus and an aliphatic ring group at a side chain, at least one photoinitiator, at least one (meth)acrylate monomer, and at least one urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer. Embodiments also provide a display device which includes an adhesive member including a polymer derived from the photocurable resin composition.
