TONER AND TWO-COMPONENT DEVELOPER - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18493903 titled 'TONER AND TWO-COMPONENT DEVELOPER
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a toner composition containing binder resin-containing toner particles and silica fine particle S1. The toner particles have a weight-average particle diameter of 4.0-15.0 μm. Peaks originating from the silica fine particle S1 are observed in 29Si-NMR measurement, and the peak areas of specific structures in the silica fine particle S1 satisfy a prescribed relationship in Si CP/MAS NMR or Si DD/MAS NMR spectrum.
- Toner composition with specific particle size and silica fine particles
- Peaks observed in 29Si-NMR measurement of silica fine particle S1
- Prescribed relationship of peak areas in Si CP/MAS NMR or Si DD/MAS NMR spectrum
- Potential Applications
- Photocopiers - Laser printers - Fax machines
- Problems Solved
- Improved toner performance - Enhanced print quality - Reduced toner waste
- Benefits
- Consistent printing results - Cost-effective toner usage - Environmentally friendly technology
Original Abstract Submitted
The toner contains binder resin-containing toner particles and silica fine particle S1, wherein the weight-average particle diameter of the toner is 4.0-15.0 μm, both inclusive, peaks originating with the silica fine particle S1 are observed in 29 Si-NMR measurement of the silica fine particle S1, and, in the spectrum obtained by Si CP/MAS NMR or Si DD/MAS NMR, the peak area of a peak corresponding to the D1 unit structure in the silica fine particle S1, the peak area of a peak corresponding to the D2 unit structure in the silica fine particle S1, and the peak area of a peak corresponding to the Q unit structure in the silica fine particle S1 satisfy a prescribed relationship.
