Link Aggregation for Fronthaul - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18489943 titled 'Link Aggregation for Fronthaul

The patent application describes a method for optimizing data traffic using load balancing and hash algorithms in a network environment.

  • Obtaining identification of data traffic for an antenna
  • Associating the identification with network identifiers
  • Assigning multiple network identifiers to the data traffic
  • Performing load balancing using a hash algorithm based on network identifiers
  • Transmitting the data traffic using link aggregation

Potential Applications: - This technology can be applied in telecommunications networks to improve data traffic management and efficiency. - It can be used in data centers to enhance network performance and reliability.

Problems Solved: - Efficiently managing data traffic in complex network environments - Optimizing network resources for improved performance

Benefits: - Enhanced network performance and reliability - Improved data traffic management - Increased efficiency in network operations

Commercial Applications: Title: "Optimizing Data Traffic in Network Environments" This technology can be utilized by telecommunications companies, data centers, and network service providers to enhance their network performance and efficiency. It can also be integrated into networking equipment and software solutions to improve data traffic management.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the use of hash algorithms improve load balancing in data traffic management? - The use of hash algorithms helps distribute data traffic evenly across network resources, optimizing performance and reducing congestion.

2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in large-scale network environments? - Implementing this technology in large-scale network environments may require significant configuration and coordination among network components to ensure seamless operation.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed is a method including obtaining an identification of a data traffic for an antenna, associating the obtained identification to a first network identification, assigning the first network identification and a second network identification to the data traffic, performing load balancing for the data traffic using a hash algorithm, wherein the hash algorithm obtains input based on the first network identifier, and transmitting the data traffic using link aggregation.
