A method for wireless communication performed by a communication device comprises transmitting and receiving traffic for an application in an overlapping basic service set preamble detection (OBSS-PD) operation; and reducing a transmission power of the communication device, to reduce adding interference to an inter-basic service set (inter-BSS) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) that the communication device is transmitting over, based on energy detection (ED) and in accordance with a channel access procedure or a transmission power reduction procedure.
