SUCCESSFUL PRIMARY SECONDARY CELL CHANGES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18471722 titled 'SUCCESSFUL PRIMARY SECONDARY CELL CHANGES

Simplified Explanation

The abstract of this patent application describes a method for enabling a successful Mobility Robustness Optimization analysis for primary secondary cell (PSCell) changes, involving transmitting information related to a node initiating a successful PSCell change from a terminal device to a master node.

  • Explanation of the patent:

- The method involves transmitting information related to a node initiating a successful PSCell change from a terminal device to a master node. - The information includes whether the node is a master node or a secondary node, as well as the cell identifier of the node initiating the PSCell change.

  • Potential applications of this technology:

- Mobile communication networks - Internet of Things (IoT) devices - Autonomous vehicles

  • Problems solved by this technology:

- Ensuring successful PSCell changes in mobile communication networks - Optimizing mobility robustness in wireless communication systems

  • Benefits of this technology:

- Improved network performance and reliability - Enhanced user experience with seamless connectivity - Efficient utilization of network resources

  • Potential commercial applications of this technology:

- Telecommunications companies - Network equipment manufacturers - IoT solution providers

  • Possible prior art:

- Prior art related to mobility optimization in wireless networks - Previous patents on handover techniques in cellular networks

Questions:

1. How does this method improve the efficiency of PSCell changes in mobile communication networks? 2. What specific information is transmitted from the terminal device to the master node in this method?

Original Abstract Submitted

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of enabling a successful Mobility Robustness Optimization analysis for primary secondary cell (PSCell) changes. The method comprises transmitting, from a terminal device to a master node of the terminal device, information related to a node initiating a successful PSCell change for the terminal device, wherein the information is indicative of at least one of the following: whether the node initiating the successful PSCell change is either a master node or a secondary node for the apparatus; a cell identifier of the node initiating the successful PSCell change.
