COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18461298 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

Simplified Explanation

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is capable of multilink communication in accordance with the IEEE 802.11 standard series. It includes a determination unit that identifies a primary link among multiple wireless links established with another communication apparatus, which is capable of transmitting a specific type of radio frame specified by the standard.

  • The determination unit selects the primary link based on conditions related to frequency channels and radio wave status in each wireless link.
  • The primary link is chosen based on its ability to transmit the predetermined type of radio frame specified by the IEEE 802.11 standard series.

Potential Applications

The technology can be applied in:

  • Wireless communication systems
  • Internet of Things (IoT) devices
  • Smart home devices

Problems Solved

This technology addresses issues such as:

  • Efficient utilization of multiple wireless links
  • Ensuring compliance with IEEE 802.11 standard series
  • Optimizing data transmission in multilink communication scenarios

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Improved reliability and stability in multilink communication
  • Enhanced performance in transmitting specific types of radio frames
  • Better overall efficiency in wireless communication systems

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus capable of multilink communication complying with IEEE 802.11 standard series, comprises a determination unit configured to determine, from a plurality of wireless links established with another communication apparatus, a primary link complying with the IEEE 802.11 standard series, which is a link capable of transmission of a predetermined type of a radio frame. The determination unit determines the primary link based on at least one of a first condition concerning a plurality of frequency channels corresponding to the plurality of wireless links, and a second condition concerning a radio wave status in each of the plurality of wireless links.
