ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING INTERPOLATION, OPERATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18455140 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING INTERPOLATION, OPERATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Simplified Explanation
An electronic device is described that can obtain and process image frames to provide an interpolation image frame.
- The electronic device includes at least one processor and a memory.
- The memory stores instructions for obtaining first and second image frames.
- The processor can identify objects in the image frames that have undergone interpolation and those that have not.
- The device can provide an interpolation image frame by applying interpolation to the identified objects.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Image processing in digital cameras
- Video editing software
- Augmented reality applications
Problems solved by this technology:
- Enhancing image quality by interpolating objects in images
- Providing smoother transitions between frames in videos
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved image quality
- Enhanced visual effects in videos
- Seamless transitions in augmented reality applications
Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes at least one processor and a memory. The memory may store at least one instruction that, when executed by the at least one processor, enables the electronic device to obtain a first image frame and a second image frame. The memory may store at least one instruction that, when executed by the at least one processor, enables the electronic device to identify a first interpolation-applied object and a first interpolation non-applied object among objects included in the first image frame and identify a second interpolation-applied object and a second interpolation non-applied object among objects included in the second image frame. The memory may store at least one instruction that, when executed by the at least one processor, enables the electronic device to provide an interpolation image frame including a result of interpolation on the first interpolation-applied object and the second interpolation-applied object and the first interpolation non-applied object or the second interpolation non-applied object.
