ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18441717 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

The cooking apparatus described in the patent application includes an image capturer to capture images of food inside the apparatus. The processor then analyzes these images to detect contamination levels using various techniques and factors such as the type of food or cooking phase.

  • The cooking apparatus captures images of food for contamination detection.
  • The processor analyzes the images using different techniques to determine contamination levels.
  • Factors like the type of food and cooking phase are considered in identifying contamination levels.
  • Final contamination level information is obtained based on the analysis of the captured images.

Potential Applications: - Food safety and quality control in commercial kitchens. - Automated contamination detection in food processing facilities. - Enhancing cooking precision and hygiene in smart kitchen appliances.

Problems Solved: - Ensures food safety by accurately detecting contamination levels. - Improves cooking processes by providing real-time contamination information. - Reduces the risk of foodborne illnesses by maintaining hygiene standards.

Benefits: - Enhances food safety and quality. - Streamlines cooking processes. - Reduces the likelihood of food contamination incidents.

Commercial Applications: Title: Automated Contamination Detection System for Cooking Apparatus This technology can be utilized in commercial kitchens, food processing facilities, and smart kitchen appliances to ensure food safety, improve cooking precision, and maintain hygiene standards. The market implications include increased efficiency, reduced waste, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Prior Art: There are existing technologies for contamination detection in food processing, but the innovation lies in the integration of image capture and analysis within a cooking apparatus to provide real-time contamination information.

Frequently Updated Research: Ongoing research focuses on enhancing the accuracy and speed of contamination detection algorithms, as well as expanding the application of this technology to various food preparation settings.

Questions about Cooking Apparatus Contamination Detection: 1. How does the image capturer in the cooking apparatus detect contamination levels? 2. What are the key factors considered in determining the final contamination level information?

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed is a cooking apparatus including an image capturer for obtaining an image of food located in the cooking apparatus, a memory, and a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the cooking apparatus to: obtain an image through the image capturer; obtain contamination level information according to a plurality of contamination detection techniques for detecting contamination of the image capturer based on the obtained image; identify a weight of the contamination level information based on at least one of a type of food or a cooking phase; obtain final contamination level information based on the contamination level information and the weight; and identify a contamination level of the image capturer based on the final contamination level information.
