SECONDARY CELL GROUP CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS AND TERMINAL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18432375 titled 'SECONDARY CELL GROUP CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS AND TERMINAL

Simplified Explanation

The secondary cell group control method disclosed in this patent application involves a terminal receiving a command, controlling the state of an SCG based on the command, and performing operations related to the SCG state.

  • The method includes receiving a command by a terminal.
  • The terminal then controls the state of an SCG according to the received command.
  • Subsequently, the terminal performs a first operation based on the state of the SCG, which can involve controlling the state of a serving cell, reconfiguring or switching a radio bearer, controlling a PDCP duplication function, or performing a measurement-related operation.

Original Abstract Submitted

A secondary cell group control method and apparatus and a terminal are disclosed. The secondary cell group control method in embodiments of this application includes: receiving, by a terminal, a first command; controlling, by the terminal, a state of an SCG according to the first command; and performing, by the terminal, a first operation based on the state of the SCG, where the first operation includes at least one of the following: controlling a state of a serving cell of the SCG; reconfiguring or switching a radio bearer related to the SCG; controlling a state of a PDCP duplication function; and performing a measurement-related operation.
