COMMUNICATION METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18431737 titled 'COMMUNICATION METHOD
Simplified Explanation
The communication method described in the abstract is used by user equipment to process a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) from a base station using a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI). When multiple group RNTIs (G-RNTIs) are associated with a multicast broadcast service (MBS) session, the method specifies a subset of G-RNTIs to be used for reception processing and performs the processing using those specified G-RNTIs.
- User equipment processes PDCCH from a base station using RNTI.
- When multiple G-RNTIs are associated with an MBS session, a subset of G-RNTIs is specified for reception processing.
- The specified subset of G-RNTIs is used for the reception processing.
Potential Applications
This technology can be applied in:
- Wireless communication systems
- Multicast broadcast services
Problems Solved
This technology helps in:
- Efficient reception processing of PDCCH
- Managing multiple G-RNTIs associated with an MBS session
Benefits
The benefits of this technology include:
- Improved communication reliability
- Enhanced network efficiency
Potential Commercial Applications
This technology can be commercially apply in:
- Telecommunication companies
- Broadcasting services
Possible Prior Art
Prior art related to this technology includes:
- Methods for processing control channels in wireless communication systems
Unanswered Questions
How does this method impact network latency?
The abstract does not provide information on the potential impact of this method on network latency. Further research or testing may be required to determine the latency implications of this communication method.
What are the specific technical requirements for user equipment to implement this method?
The abstract does not detail the specific technical requirements for user equipment to implement this communication method. Understanding the hardware and software specifications needed for implementation would be beneficial for potential users or developers.
Original Abstract Submitted
A communication method according to a first aspect is a communication method used by a user equipment that performs reception processing of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) from a base station by using a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) and includes, when N (N≥2) group RNTIs (G-RNTIs) are associated with one multicast broadcast service (MBS) session, specifying M (M≤N) G-RNTIs to be used for the reception processing from among the N G-RNTIs, and performing the reception processing by using the M G-RNTIs.
