FEEDBACK METHOD, RELATED DEVICE, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18431422 titled 'FEEDBACK METHOD, RELATED DEVICE, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a feedback method for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) in a wireless communication system.

  • The method involves determining specific parameters related to the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) cells available for transmitting the HARQ-ACK.
  • The terminal performs operations to select the appropriate PUCCH cell(s) for sending the HARQ-ACK.
  • The feedback method aims to optimize the transmission of HARQ-ACKs in the system.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems where efficient transmission of feedback signals is crucial, such as 5G networks, IoT devices, and industrial automation systems.

Problems Solved

1. Efficient transmission of HARQ-ACKs in a system with multiple PUCCH cells. 2. Optimizing resource allocation for feedback signals in wireless communication.

Benefits

1. Improved reliability and performance of wireless communication systems. 2. Enhanced efficiency in transmitting feedback signals. 3. Better utilization of available resources in the system.

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing feedback transmission in 5G networks for improved network performance and reliability.

Possible Prior Art

There may be existing methods for transmitting feedback signals in wireless communication systems, but the specific approach outlined in this patent application appears to be novel in its focus on optimizing HARQ-ACK transmission in systems with multiple PUCCH cells.

Unanswered Questions

How does this method compare to existing feedback transmission techniques in terms of efficiency and performance?

The article does not provide a direct comparison with other feedback transmission methods to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach.

Are there any limitations or constraints in implementing this feedback method in practical wireless communication systems?

The article does not address any potential challenges or limitations that may arise when implementing this feedback method in real-world scenarios.

Original Abstract Submitted

A feedback method, a related device, and a readable storage medium are provided. The feedback method includes: in a case that a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) cell group corresponding to a terminal includes M PUCCH cells available for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK), and M is an integer greater than 1, performing, by the terminal, a first operation; and sending, by the terminal, a first HARQ-ACK based on the first operation, where the first operation includes at least one of the following: determining a time domain feedback offset set corresponding to each of the M PUCCH cells; determining valid PUCCH cell(s) corresponding to the first HARQ-ACK among the M PUCCH cells; or determining target PUCCH cell(s) corresponding to the first HARQ-ACK among the M PUCCH cells.
