COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, BASE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18430517 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, BASE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

Simplified Explanation

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is designed to adjust the timing of uplink transmissions based on received radio resource control signaling from a base station.

  • Receiver receives RRC signaling from base station
  • RRC signaling includes information for configuring timing advance groups
  • Controller adjusts timing of uplink transmission based on received timing advance command
    • Potential Applications:**

This technology can be applied in wireless communication systems to optimize the timing of uplink transmissions, leading to improved network performance and efficiency.

    • Problems Solved:**

1. Efficient timing adjustment for uplink transmissions 2. Enhanced communication reliability and quality

    • Benefits:**

1. Improved network performance 2. Enhanced communication reliability 3. Optimal timing adjustment for uplink transmissions

    • Potential Commercial Applications:**

This technology can be utilized in telecommunications equipment and devices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of wireless communication networks.

    • Possible Prior Art:**

One possible prior art could be the use of timing advance commands in wireless communication systems to adjust the timing of uplink transmissions for improved network performance.

    • Unanswered Questions:**

1. How does the communication apparatus handle interference in the timing adjustment process? 2. What specific types of wireless communication systems can benefit the most from this technology?

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed is a communication apparatus comprising: a receiver configured to: receive, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) signaling including information for configuring each of an identifier of a first timing advance group and an identifier of a second timing advance group, and information for configuring an identifier corresponding to the identifier of the second timing advance group, and receive, from the base station, the identifier corresponding to the identifier of the second timing advance group and a timing advance command; and a controller configured to control an amount of timing adjustment for an uplink transmission corresponding to the second timing advance group on a basis of the identifier corresponding to the identifier of the second timing advance group and the timing advance command.
