BATTERY PACK TERMINALS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18421232 titled 'BATTERY PACK TERMINALS
Simplified Explanation:
This patent application describes a battery pack for a power tool that includes a coil spring to form an electrical connection with the power tool's electric connector.
- The battery pack contains one or more battery cells.
- The first terminal of the battery pack has a pair of terminal walls with a gap between them.
- A coil spring is positioned within the gap to engage the electric connector of the power tool.
- The coil spring selectively forms an electrical connection with the power tool when the connector is inserted into the gap.
Key Features and Innovation:
- Inclusion of a coil spring in the battery pack for easy connection to the power tool.
- The coil spring allows for a secure and reliable electrical connection.
- Simplifies the process of connecting the battery pack to the power tool.
Potential Applications:
- Power tools
- Cordless devices
- Battery-operated equipment
Problems Solved:
- Streamlines the process of connecting the battery pack to the power tool.
- Ensures a secure and reliable electrical connection.
- Reduces the risk of electrical malfunctions.
Benefits:
- Easy and quick connection of the battery pack to the power tool.
- Reliable electrical connection for efficient operation.
- Improved user experience with the power tool.
Commercial Applications:
The technology can be applied in various industries such as construction, manufacturing, and DIY projects. It can be used in power tools, cordless devices, and other battery-operated equipment to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Questions about Battery Pack with Coil Spring:
1. How does the coil spring in the battery pack improve the connection with the power tool's electric connector? 2. What are the potential advantages of using a coil spring in a battery pack for power tools?
Original Abstract Submitted
A battery pack for use with a power tool having an electric connector. The battery pack including a housing containing one or more battery cells, a first terminal in electrical communication with the battery cells, the first terminal including a pair of spaced apart terminal walls forming a gap therebetween and a coil spring at least partially positioned within the gap. Where the coil spring is configured to selectively engage and form an electrical connection with the electric connector of the power tool when the electric connector is at least partially positioned within the gap.
