REFRIGERATOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18418150 titled 'REFRIGERATOR
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a refrigerator with a unique design to prevent dew formation on the outer case. The inner case includes a seating groove for a hot pipe, which is in close contact with the outer case to prevent condensation.
- Inner case with storage compartment and injection molded plates
- Outer case coupled to inner case to form exterior
- Hot pipe on front flange of inner case to prevent dew
- Seating groove on inner case for hot pipe
- Ribs within seating groove for close contact with outer case
Potential Applications
The technology could be applied to various refrigeration systems to prevent condensation and improve overall efficiency.
Problems Solved
This innovation solves the issue of dew formation on the outer case of refrigerators, which can lead to water damage and decreased performance.
Benefits
- Improved efficiency of refrigeration systems - Prevention of water damage from condensation - Longer lifespan of refrigerator components
Potential Commercial Applications
- Refrigerator manufacturing companies - Appliance retailers - Commercial refrigeration suppliers
Possible Prior Art
There may be prior art related to refrigeration systems with similar features to prevent condensation, but specific examples are not provided in the abstract.
Unanswered Questions
How does the hot pipe prevent dew formation on the outer case?
The hot pipe likely raises the temperature of the outer case, preventing moisture from condensing on its surface.
Are there any specific materials mentioned for the construction of the inner and outer cases?
The abstract does not mention any specific materials used for the inner and outer cases, which could impact the effectiveness of the design.
Original Abstract Submitted
Disclosed herein is a refrigerator including an inner case having a storage compartment therein and including a plurality of plates each formed by injection molding, an outer case coupled to the outside of the inner case to form the exterior thereof, and a hot pipe seated on a front flange of the inner case to prevents dew from forming on the outer case, wherein the inner case includes a seating groove provided on the front flange to seat the hot pipe, and a plurality of ribs provided within the seating groove and formed integrally with the inner case so that the hot pipe is in close contact with the outer case.
