DEVELOPER SUPPLYING CONTAINER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18415984 titled 'DEVELOPER SUPPLYING CONTAINER

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a developer supply container with a rotary cylindrical accommodating portion and a developer discharging portion. The accommodating portion has an opening at one end in the rotation-axis direction, while the discharging portion includes a connection portion and a discharging outlet.

  • The connection portion of the developer discharging portion has a first separation portion and a second separation portion that are separated from each other in a direction intersecting with the rotation-axis direction.
  • The accommodating portion features a first engaging portion on the outer circumferential surface of the end covered by the connection portion.
  • At least one of the separation portions includes a second engaging portion that can engage with the first engaging portion to prevent disconnection of the connection portion from the accommodating portion in the rotation-axis direction.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Rotary cylindrical accommodating portion with an opening in the rotation-axis direction.
  • Developer discharging portion with a connection portion and discharging outlet.
  • Separation portions in the connection portion prevent disconnection in the rotation-axis direction.
  • Engaging portions ensure secure connection between the accommodating and discharging portions.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in various developer supply containers for printers, copiers, and other imaging devices.

Problems Solved: The technology addresses the issue of secure connection between the accommodating and discharging portions in developer supply containers.

Benefits:

  • Prevents accidental disconnection during operation.
  • Ensures reliable developer supply to imaging devices.
  • Enhances overall performance and efficiency of the container.

Commercial Applications: This technology can be valuable for manufacturers of imaging devices, particularly in the development of developer supply containers for printers and copiers.

Prior Art: Further research can be conducted in the field of developer supply containers and their connection mechanisms to explore existing technologies and innovations.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers may want to stay updated on advancements in developer supply container technologies and related fields to enhance their understanding and potential applications of this innovation.

Questions about Developer Supply Containers: 1. What are the key components of a developer supply container? 2. How does the connection mechanism between the accommodating and discharging portions impact the performance of the container?

Original Abstract Submitted

A developer supplying container includes a rotary cylindrical accommodating portion including an opening portion formed at one end portion of the accommodating portion in a rotation-axis direction, and a developer discharging portion including a connection portion and a discharging outlet. The connection portion includes a first separation portion and a second separation portion separated from each other in a direction intersecting with the rotation-axis direction. The accommodating portion includes a first engaging portion formed in an outer circumferential surface of the one end portion covered by the connection portion. At least one of the first separation portion and the second separation portion includes a second engaging portion configured to engage with the first engaging portion when the one end portion of the accommodating portion is covered by the connection portion, and prevent the connection portion from being disconnected from the accommodating portion in the rotation-axis direction.
