METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18403163 titled 'METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The abstract describes a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method involves configuring simultaneous transmission of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs), a control resource set (CORESET) with a CORESET pool index, and ackNack feedback mode associated with uplink control information (UCI).

  • The method includes identifying a PUSCH for multiplexing the UCI among the PUSCHs.
  • It involves multiplexing the UCI in the identified PUSCH and transmitting the PUSCHs with the multiplexed UCI.
  • When simultaneous transmission is enabled, the ackNack feedback mode is set to a first mode.
  • The UCI includes hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information.
  • The identified PUSCH is selected from candidate PUSCHs associated with CORESETs.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be applied in advanced wireless communication systems to enhance uplink transmission efficiency. - It can be used in 5G networks to improve the handling of uplink control information.

Problems Solved: - Efficient configuration of simultaneous transmission of PUSCHs. - Effective multiplexing of uplink control information among PUSCHs.

Benefits: - Improved uplink transmission performance. - Enhanced utilization of resources in wireless communication systems.

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Uplink Transmission Method for Wireless Communication Systems This technology can be utilized by telecommunications companies to optimize uplink transmission in their networks, leading to better overall performance and user experience. It can also benefit equipment manufacturers by providing them with innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of wireless communication systems.

Questions about Enhanced Uplink Transmission Method for Wireless Communication Systems: 1. How does this method contribute to the overall efficiency of wireless communication systems? 2. What are the key advantages of configuring simultaneous transmission of PUSCHs in this method?

Original Abstract Submitted

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving first information for configuring simultaneous transmission of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs), second information for configuring a control resource set (CORESET) with a CORESET pool index, and third information for configuring ackNack feedback mode associated with uplink control information (UCI), identifying a PUSCH to be used for multiplexing the UCI among the PUSCHs, multiplexing the UCI in the identified PUSCH, and transmitting the PUSCHs including the identified PUSCH in which the UCI is multiplexed, wherein in case that the simultaneous transmission is enabled, the ackNack feedback mode is configured to a first mode, and the UCI includes hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information, the identified PUSCH is one of candidate PUSCHs selected among the PUSCHs and is associated with CORESETs.
