DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18396676 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

The abstract describes a display device with a thin film transistor on a substrate, pad electrodes, a second substrate with an opening exposing the pad electrodes, a circuit board attached to the pad electrodes, and conductive ink patterns surrounding the circuit board.

  • Thin film transistor on upper surface of first substrate
  • Pad electrodes under lower surface of first substrate
  • Second substrate with opening exposing pad electrodes
  • Circuit board attached to exposed pad electrodes
  • Conductive ink patterns surrounding circuit board

Potential Applications: - Display screens - Electronic devices - Touchscreen technology

Problems Solved: - Improved connectivity between components - Enhanced display quality

Benefits: - Increased durability - Better performance - Simplified manufacturing process

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Display Technology for Electronic Devices This technology can be used in smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices to improve display quality and connectivity, leading to better user experience and product performance.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the placement of the pad electrodes impact the overall functionality of the display device? 2. What are the advantages of using conductive ink patterns in this technology?

Original Abstract Submitted

A display device includes a first substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on an upper surface of the first substrate; a plurality of pad electrodes disposed under a lower surface of the first substrate; a second substrate disposed under the lower surface of the first substrate and defining an opening therein exposing the plurality of pad electrodes; a circuit board attached onto the plurality of pad electrodes exposed through the opening of the second substrate; and a plurality of conductive ink patterns surrounding at least a side surface of the circuit board and being in contact with at least one of the plurality of pad electrodes, where lower surfaces of the plurality of conductive ink patterns each have a shape having a concave central portion.
