DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18396563 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a display device with subpixels, pad areas, power link lines, assembling lines, and light-emitting elements.

  • Subpixels on the display area of the substrate form the display.
  • Pad areas in the non-display area contain pads.
  • Low-potential power link lines connect pads in the leftmost and rightmost pad areas.
  • First and second assembling lines on subpixels connect to the low-potential power link lines.
  • Light-emitting elements are on the assembling lines.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Integration of low-potential power link lines for efficient power distribution.
  • Use of assembling lines to connect subpixels to power sources.
  • Placement of light-emitting elements for display functionality.

Potential Applications:

  • Consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, and TVs.
  • Industrial displays for control panels and information screens.

Problems Solved:

  • Efficient power distribution in display devices.
  • Improved connectivity between subpixels and power sources.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced display performance.
  • Energy-efficient design.
  • Improved reliability and longevity of the display device.

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Display Device Technology for Enhanced Visual Experiences Potential commercial uses include:

  • Manufacturing of high-resolution displays for electronic devices.
  • Integration into automotive displays for navigation and entertainment systems.

Questions about Display Device Technology: 1. How does the integration of low-potential power link lines improve the efficiency of the display device? 2. What are the key advantages of using assembling lines to connect subpixels to power sources?

Original Abstract Submitted

A display device includes: a substrate including a display area having a plurality of subpixels, and a non-display area surrounding the display area and including a plurality of pad areas; a plurality of pads in the pad areas; a plurality of low-potential power link lines electrically connected to the pads in leftmost and rightmost areas among the pad areas; a plurality of first assembling lines and a plurality of second assembling lines respectively on the plurality of subpixels and electrically connected to the plurality of low-potential power link lines; and a plurality of light-emitting elements on the first assembling lines and the second assembling lines. Each of the plurality of low-potential power link lines includes: a first part connected to the plurality of first assembling lines or the plurality of second assembling lines; and a second part to transmit a low-potential power voltage to the first part.
