IMAGE COMPARISON DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18395757 titled 'IMAGE COMPARISON DEVICE
The abstract describes a patent application for an image comparison device that analyzes two images to determine a scaling ratio between them.
- The device identifies objects in each image and calculates specific lengths in a predetermined direction for each object.
- It then calculates values representing the ratio between the lengths of objects in the two images.
- The device outputs the most frequently occurring ratio as the scaling ratio of the second image to the first image.
Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in image processing applications to accurately scale and compare images. - It can be utilized in medical imaging to ensure accurate measurements and comparisons of medical scans.
Problems Solved: - Provides a method for determining the scaling ratio between two images automatically. - Eliminates the need for manual scaling and comparison of images, saving time and improving accuracy.
Benefits: - Increases efficiency in image analysis tasks. - Provides a standardized method for comparing images.
Commercial Applications: Title: Automated Image Scaling Technology for Enhanced Image Analysis This technology can be commercialized in industries such as healthcare, forensics, and manufacturing for precise image analysis and comparison. It can also be integrated into software tools for image processing and analysis.
Questions about Image Comparison Technology: 1. How does this technology improve the accuracy of image scaling and comparison? 2. What are the potential implications of using this technology in medical imaging applications?
Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in image processing algorithms and machine learning techniques that could enhance the capabilities of this image comparison technology.
Original Abstract Submitted
An image comparison device is configured to obtain a first image and a second image, identify multiple first objects and second objects respectively in the first image and the second image, calculate, for each of the first objects, a first specific length that is a length in a predetermined specific direction, calculate, for each of the second objects, a second specific length that is a length in the specific direction, calculate values of a specific variable for all combinations of the first specific lengths and the second specific lengths, each value of the specific variable indicating a ratio between one of the first specific lengths and one of the second specific lengths, and output a most frequently occurring value among the values of the specific variable as a value indicating a scaling ratio of the second image to the first image.
