SPEAKER BOX - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18395720 titled 'SPEAKER BOX
The speaker box described in the patent application consists of an upper cover plate, a lower cover plate, a speaker unit, and a motor module.
- The lower cover plate and upper cover plate are assembled together to create a cavity for the speaker unit and motor module.
- The speaker unit divides the cavity into a front and rear section.
- The motor module is positioned beside the speaker unit.
- The upper cover plate has a top wall and side walls, with at least one side wall being longer than its orthographic projection.
- Compensation cavities are formed by assembling the edge areas of the upper and lower cover plates.
- The lower cover plate is made of a single metal sheet structure, enhancing the low-frequency performance of the speaker box.
Potential Applications: - Home audio systems - Car audio systems - Public address systems
Problems Solved: - Improved low-frequency performance - Efficient use of space within the speaker box
Benefits: - Enhanced sound quality - Compact design - Durable construction
Commercial Applications: Title: "Innovative Speaker Box Design for Enhanced Sound Quality" This technology can be utilized in the manufacturing of high-quality speaker systems for various commercial applications such as home entertainment, automotive audio, and professional sound systems.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the design of the speaker box contribute to improved low-frequency performance? 2. What materials are typically used in the construction of speaker boxes for optimal sound quality?
Original Abstract Submitted
A speaker box includes an upper cover plate, a lower cover plate, a speaker unit, and a motor module. The lower cover plate is assembled with the upper cover plate to define an accommodating cavity for accommodating the speaker unit and the motor module. The speaker unit divides the accommodating cavity into a front cavity and a rear cavity. The motor module is disposed on one side of the speaker unit. The upper cover plate includes a top wall and side walls. A length of at least one of the side walls is greater than a length of an orthographic projection thereof. Edge areas of the upper cover plate and edge areas of the lower cover plate are assembled to define compensation cavities. The lower cover plate is of a single metal sheet structure. Therefore, low-frequency performance of the speaker box is improved.
