IN-VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18393677 titled 'IN-VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a processor that displays both image content and anti-carsickness content on a display unit to reduce car sickness in viewers. The processor adjusts the display area ratio between the image content and anti-carsickness content based on the variation of the image content or the viewer's tolerance for carsickness.

  • The processor displays image content and anti-carsickness content on a display unit.
  • It adjusts the ratio of the display area between the image content and anti-carsickness content.
  • The adjustment is based on the variation of the image content or the viewer's tolerance for carsickness.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Integration of image content and anti-carsickness content on a display unit.
  • Dynamic adjustment of display area ratio based on image content variation or viewer's tolerance for carsickness.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in:

  • In-car entertainment systems
  • Virtual reality headsets
  • Medical devices for motion sickness treatment

Problems Solved:

  • Addressing car sickness in viewers
  • Providing a more comfortable viewing experience

Benefits:

  • Reduced car sickness symptoms
  • Enhanced viewer comfort during travel

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include:

  • Automotive industry for in-car entertainment systems
  • Entertainment industry for virtual reality experiences

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the processor determine the optimal display area ratio between image content and anti-carsickness content? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in different display units?

Original Abstract Submitted

The processor displays the image content and the anti-carsickness content for suppressing car sickness of the viewer on the display unit. The processor changes the ratio of the display area of the image content to the display area of the anti-carsickness content so that the larger the variation of the image content, the smaller the display area of the image content to the display area of the anti-carsickness content. Alternatively, the processor changes the ratio of the display area of the image content to the display area of the anti-carsickness content so that the lower the viewer's tolerance for carsickness, the smaller the display area of the image content to the display area of the anti-carsickness content.
