LIQUID EJECTION HEAD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18390120 titled 'LIQUID EJECTION HEAD
The liquid ejection head described in the patent application consists of a first printing element substrate, a second printing element substrate, and a liquid supply member.
- The liquid supply member includes a distribution channel positioned upstream of the first and second printing element substrates, as well as a collection channel located downstream of them.
- Within the distribution channel, there are a first distribution opening and a second distribution opening arranged in series from an inlet opening.
- In the collection channel, a first collection opening and a second collection opening are placed parallel to each other and connected to an outlet opening via a branch point.
- The flow resistance between the first collection opening and the branch point is lower than the flow resistance between the second collection opening and the branch point.
Potential Applications: - This technology can be applied in inkjet printers for precise and efficient liquid ejection. - It can also be used in industrial printing processes where accurate liquid distribution is crucial.
Problems Solved: - Ensures uniform and consistent liquid ejection in printing applications. - Minimizes clogging and other issues related to liquid supply in printing devices.
Benefits: - Improved print quality and reliability. - Enhanced efficiency in liquid ejection processes. - Reduced maintenance and downtime in printing equipment.
Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Liquid Ejection Technology for Printing Devices This technology can be utilized in various commercial applications such as: - Large-scale commercial printing operations - Fabric printing for textiles and apparel industries - Packaging and labeling industries for high-quality printing needs
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the flow resistance in the collection channel impact the efficiency of liquid ejection? - The flow resistance affects the distribution of liquid and ensures uniform ejection in printing processes. 2. What are the key advantages of having distribution and collection channels in a liquid ejection head? - The channels help regulate the flow of liquid and prevent issues like clogging, leading to improved printing performance.
Original Abstract Submitted
A liquid ejection head includes a first printing element substrate, a second printing element substrate, and a liquid supply member. The liquid supply member includes a distribution channel arranged upstream the first printing element substrate and the second printing element substrate and a collection channel arranged downstream the first printing element substrate and the second printing element substrate. In the distribution channel, a first distribution opening and a second distribution opening are arranged in series manner to be arrayed in this order from an inlet opening. In the collection channel, a first collection opening and a second collection opening are arranged parallel to each other to be connected with an outlet opening by way of a branch point. In the collection channel, a flow resistance between the first collection opening and the branch point is smaller than a flow resistance between the second collection opening and the branch point.
