FLUID COLLECTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18381624 titled 'FLUID COLLECTOR

The patent application describes a fluid collector with a housing that has a tubular circumferential wall, a first end face with a first opening, and a second end face with a second opening. The first cover closes the first opening, and the second cover closes the second opening. The circumferential wall has a connecting surface with at least one flange element fastened as a connecting element, and at least one bore or channel fluidically connects the interior of the housing to the connecting element.

  • The fluid collector housing has a tubular circumferential wall with two end faces and covers for each opening.
  • A connecting surface on the circumferential wall has at least one flange element for fastening a connecting element.
  • Bore or channel in the connecting surface allows fluid connection between the housing interior and the connecting element.

Potential Applications: - Industrial fluid collection systems - Laboratory equipment for sample collection - Environmental monitoring devices

Problems Solved: - Efficient fluid collection and transfer - Secure attachment of connecting elements - Minimizing fluid leakage

Original Abstract Submitted

A fluid collector having a housing having a tubular circumferential wall with a first end face having a first opening and with a second end face having a second opening, which is situated opposite the first opening of the first end face, a first cover being provided, which closes the first opening on the first end face, and a second cover being provided, which closes the second opening on the second end face. The tubular circumferential wall has an area with an, in particular, planar connecting surface, on which at least one flange element is arranged and fastened as a connecting element, at least one bore or one channel being provided in the area having the connecting surface, which fluidically connects the interior of the housing to the at least one connecting element.
