REFRIGERATOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18377133 titled 'REFRIGERATOR

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a refrigerator with a detachable partition that separates a refrigerating compartment from a freezing compartment. Cold air is guided inside the refrigerator through a cold air duct and connector to cool the compartments effectively.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Detachable partition to separate refrigerating and freezing compartments
  • Cold air duct at the rear of the partition to guide cold air inside the refrigerator
  • Cold air connector to deliver cold air to the refrigerating compartment
  • First and second discharge holes in the cold air duct
  • Return flow path from the refrigerating compartment to the cold air connector

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in various refrigeration systems, such as household refrigerators, commercial refrigerators, and industrial refrigeration units.

Problems Solved: The technology addresses the challenge of efficiently cooling different compartments within a refrigerator while maintaining optimal temperature levels.

Benefits:

  • Improved cooling efficiency
  • Enhanced compartmental cooling control
  • Flexible partition design for customization
  • Energy savings due to optimized cooling distribution

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in the development of advanced refrigeration systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use, catering to a wide range of cooling needs in various settings.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include patents or research on refrigeration systems with compartmental cooling control and detachable partitions for flexible storage options.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers may be exploring advancements in refrigeration technology, such as improved cooling mechanisms, energy-efficient designs, and smart refrigeration systems.

Questions about Refrigeration Technology: 1. How does the detachable partition in this refrigerator improve cooling efficiency? 2. What are the potential cost-saving benefits of using this innovative cooling system in commercial refrigeration units?

Original Abstract Submitted

A refrigerator includes: an outer case; an inner case; an evaporator; a partition detachably mounted inside the inner case to define a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment below the refrigerating compartment; a cold air duct at the rear of the partition, the cold air duct being configured to guide cold air inside the inner case; and a cold air connector connected to the cold air duct from an outside of the inner case, the cold air connector being configured to deliver the cold air inside the refrigerating compartment to the evaporator. The cold air duct includes: a first discharge hole; a second discharge hole; and a return flow path extending from the refrigerating compartment to the cold air connector.
